Justice English, Jeanette Mmunga and Johana Amani, the three youth co-founders from I Am M.O.R.E (Making Ourselves Resilient Everyday) are the featured voices of a 2019 Black History Month panel discussion organized by Imani Muhammad, founder of Y.O.U.th (Youth Organized & United to help), based in Portland, OR. The youth talked about the need for life skills classes, more teachers of color, trauma-informed educators, authentic relationships between adults and youth, and becoming your own hero.
